Fabulous 103fm Food funding for the poor in Pattaya Thailand

THE BEGGING LETTER

We are sharing this with all our friends and hope that you will be kind enough to share it too

We are Pattaya's English Language Radio station and have raised hundreds of thousands of baht for children's charities in the past, in a very carefully transparent manner

Our Region of Thailand is one of the hardest hit by unemployment due to Covid 19. We are primarily a tourist and production region. all of the tourist business is closed and much of production is closed too.

As we are lucky to have listeners and viewers globally and within Thailand, many have asked how they can donate to our food collection for those affected by closures due to Covid 19 ..by way of money, which we then spend to buy food.

QUEUES FOR FREE FOOD began slowly weeks ago, as no one thought it would last. today queues can easily be hundreds deep, and there are queues all around the city.

Some might say that those in long lines of people might not need the food, but no one in their right mind would stand for hours in burning heat if they didnt have to. Most were paid either daily or weekly and earned a very minimum wage, and they come from all walks of life, from shop workers, to motorbike taxis, factory line workers to salon workers, the list is endless.

With now queues everywhere of hundreds of people in genuine need, we know that we cant solve the problem, but together we can become a small part of the solution

The Fab 103fm Team, in Pattaya, and others who help, will buy and pack the food, and give it out. Donations of food from local listeners have been amazing so far,

BUT THE NEED WILL CONTINUE FOR A LONG TIME

We support others who are giving away food by giving them supplies. EVERY DAY we have kind hearted people calling and coming to collect so that they can continue THEIR GOOD WORK. we have a store facility and have stocks of Rice and Water, with plans to add other staples soon. ALL ARE GIVEN AWAY to those cooking or supplying groceries, and all we ask is a photo and a to see their licence, which is easy to get and issued to allow crowd control

AND its essential to us to be totally transparent to all. Its only right that we show funds coming in, and then where they go.

So PLEASE, small or large amounts are welcome. and it means that YOU can see what comes in, you can see YOUR donation listed.. and WE can show where it goes.
