Aid for Cecilia’s Medical Expenses

Good day/night, everyone. I am writing this for my senior mother, Cecilia David (63), who has been admitted to Fe Del Mundo Medical Center on Friday 17th April 2020. This is the second instance she’s rushed to the ER since last month—with a 50/50 chance this time.

I’ll try to keep it brief and straightforward.

She was first rushed to the ER on March 15, 2020 at UST Hospital due to abdominal pain and fever which turned out to be urinary tract infection (UTI). Shortly after it was cured, she expressed chest pain and difficulty breathing. The doctor diagnosed her with pneumonia which made her a Person Under Investigation (PUI), so she has to be transferred to the isolation unit to be quarantined. After almost 2 weeks, she tested negative for COVID-19 and was discharged.

Fast forward to yesterday, she’s back in the ER due to chest pain and difficulty breathing. According to the lab result, there’s a blockage in her two arteries. Now, she needs to be transferred to another ospital hoping for cheaper accommodation. As I am writing this, it’s still unclear if they will accept her and if they’ll put her in isolation for another quarantine procedure.

I am reaching out to people who are able to donate regardless of the amount. Trust me, every penny counts. The stress and exhaustion are already taking a toll on my sister and our father—and it pains me that I couldn’t be there with them in the Philippines.

For the UST Hospital billing (P350k = $6k), we’ve already settled half of the total while we’re still trying to collect money for the remainder. As for the current billing, the total is P70k = $1.3k.
