Fight Hunger, We stand together!

Hello everyone, My name is Alvin and I am from the Philippines. My community is located in Central Luzon in the Province of Bulacan.

We know that most people in the world are suffering from the effects of this Covid-19 Pandemic as many people have lost their loved ones and lost their jobs as well creating much anguish, panic, suffering and hunger for those in the poorer communities.

My fund raising campaign objective is to raise $3,000 for my chosen 26 families in my community so that we are given a chance to survive this Covid-19 lock down. The funds will go to buying 50 sacks of rice (25 kilos each), 2 cartons of canned goods, 3 cartons of Instant Noodles, and infant food for the babies.

Families in my community survive by doing whatever jobs that we could find on a daily basis from doing odd jobs, to selling simple street snacks. We make enough to feed our family but occasionally we had to skip a meal or two because of no available job. Our situation does not provide us with the means to save the money for bad days such as this critical period.

My family has a total of 8 adults inclusive of my parents, 4 children with the oldest being 5-year old to the youngest being 1-month old. With the lockdown, no adults can work and bring food to the table, affecting the health of the elderly and younger ones as the days went by.

And this issue is similar to 25 other families in my economically poor community who are already living through hunger and struggling to survive on a daily basis. On May 1 2020 I turn 30 and want to do something meaningful for my community and family, and to make a difference to their lives during such difficult period. That is why I decided to make this campaign because I want to touch lives of people.

My Prayers To Everyone

May the Lord guide us all as we face a worldwide crisis brought by this corona virus pandemic.

May the soul of those who have died be at rest in peace. May the family who have lost their loved ones recover from grief and be blessed.

May the people who experience hunger be filled with food and get energized.

Oh Lord, we seek for your forgiveness and mercy, please hear our prayer as we experience this crisis.

Please heal those who are suffering from Covid-19 and please give them another chance to live so they can serve You. You are our Lord and saviour, we surrender everything to You.

Please Lord, keep the front-liners safe as they help the people, give Your healing hands to the doctors to use to heal those who are sick. We are claiming healing for them. Guide us Oh Lord and bless us.

For those who are donating, bless them and their family, for those who cannot afford to donate, bless them with grace so they can also touch lives.

We ask this through Jesus our Lord and Saviour.
