Campaign Story
My mother and father are trapped in Equador. They are both 60 years old and been moved from hotels as they close down. The situation is dire. The country is under military lock down, there are no commercial flights and everytime latam airlines releases a flight it is cancelled the next day. Food is low and hotels are being shut done either by the government or due to losing money and sending staff home for isolation.
They are not alone. They are bunkered in the Secret Hostel Quito. The owners have been amazing and supportive reducing their rates temporarily as people are running out of funds not expecting to be stuck abroad for such a long time.
Food is as you can imagine expensive and the owners are in danger of closing if they keep loosing money.
This is where we come in and support the hotel that's supporting our family, Australians Trapped other nationalities caught up in the crossfire.
We aim to help by subsadising their running costs while the australian government gets them selves into gear with an evacuation plan.
These are great generous people but they can only give so much as this hostel is also their life line.
All donations will be directly sent to the hostel to keep it going and support any travelers stuck.
Thanks for your help
John
