The corona epidemic has hit our country and most sectors have shut down including schools and companies. The government has issued a 30 day no prison visit decree. Most prisoners who are in the prison system in Kenya depend on the regular visits from their loved ones for basic necessities from their relatives and friends who visit regularly.

Here is the link on the government directive. https://www.nation.co.ke/news/Coronavirus-Kenya-Prisons-suspends-visits/1056-5499588-a3cspxz/index.html

other links on our campaign update.

With this decree in place, there shall be no visits for the next thirty days or more depending on the situation of the current crisis. We are a team of friends who have always donated a few items to the prisoners who do not receive regular visits.

With the current situation, the numbers have increased and we have been overwhelmed by the numbers. It is in that regard that we have come to you to help us try and salvage the situation in every way possible.

currently, the prisoners need hand sanitation equipment, toiletry, and even handkerchiefs to be able to observe self-hygiene to prevent the infection or even transmission of the virus. Given the large numbers in our prisons, we kindly ask everyone to help where possible so that we can be able to enable them to receive these items as soon as possible.

The support received will go a long way in ensuring there are no infections and the prisoners also receive the basic necessities needed for their hygiene since there are no visits allowed in this thirty day period. Your generous contributions will go a long way in ensuring that we keep everyone safe. some of the funds will also help in sanitizing areas around the prison.

All updates will be posted here and don't forget to bookmark our fundraiser page to receive regular updates on the steps we have taken. Thank you in advance.
