Palawan island is home to the Philippines’ last great rainforests, its tropical waters are among the most biodiverse in the world. Its natural wonders are making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in Asia. But illegal logging, fishing and mining are destroying Palawan. We are on the frontlines of this destruction defending our home.

We have a unique para-enforcement programme in which we use the nation’s citizens arrest law to confiscate chainsaws, boats, jeepneys or any other equipment being used to illegally plunder Palawan’s natural wonders. Our team, and its network of community volunteers, will step in to save Palawan because no one else will.

We do not have much money, but we are rich in commitment, determination and bravery. Your funding will help us to continue and expand our work. Any size of donation is welcome, and we will use 100% of what we receive to continue our mission. Your funding will help in:

  • Providing transport and food for para-enforcers during forest and ocean operations;
  • Helping to train the next generation of para-enforcers in our communities;
  • Clean up efforts in our communities;
  • Taking our advocacy to government leaders who can help protect our environment

We post regular updates on our work on our Facebook page here.

International media have also reported on our work, lauding us for our bravery and commitment. Some of the reports include:

A four-minute video report from the AFP international news agency here that shows our para-enforcers confiscating chainsaws in the forests, and the deadly risks they face.

The Guardian newspaper in England published an article here headlined: Environmental crusaders risk their lives to save Philippine paradise.
