Empower Key and Vulnerable Populations access health and social services in Tanzania

The Wake up And Support others Organization (WASO) is a non-profit and Non- Governmental Organisation (Reg.No. 00NGO/00007773) that primarily focuses on Key and Vulnerable Populations’ (KVPs) rights to access health services. The organisation web is www.waso.or.tz

The organization has been supporting thousands of KVP access health and psychosocial services when we had funds but for now the organization has run out of funds due to lack of donors. As an organization we have passion to continue working for KVP who are in critical need of our services.

The funds we are requesting are USD 50,000 of which the donation period is three months i.e end of April. This is specifically intended to support interventions that WASO is trying to maintain such as PSG (Psycho-Social Group) meetings for the KVP who are on ART, Loan and Saving group education for KVP, Stigma reduction advocacy, Gender Based Violence survivor tracing and linkage, tracing ART KVP defaulters, expand reach to KVP in hiding due to stigma, and linkage of KVP to biomedical services. The organization has been supporting thousands of KVP access health and psychosocial services when we had funds but for now the organization has run out of funds due to lack of donors. Being the KVP focused organization we have passion to continue working for KVP who are in critical need of our services, thus why we highly appreciate any support/donation intending to assist scaling up our reach to the dear KVP.

Any potential donor who will happen to support, we shall prepare and share Activity and financial reports through the organization website www.waso.or.tz as per planned activities. According to WASO financial policy, any funds from whatsoever source (i.e.Goodsamaritan, donors etc) are equally accounted for as long as it is deposited into WASO organization account. Three signatories have to review and approve all the requests, also the Monthly and quarterly reports, including the audited report are shared as required.

Your donation will contribute to the following major outcomes:

• Improved ART retention among KVP hence reduced viral suppression and deaths
• Reduced stigma and discrimination against KVP hence improved access to health services
• Improved knowledge on Income Generating Activities/entrepreneurship among KVP
