Campaign Story
Ilya Yosef Macalos Olaes (Opet Olaes’ and Ainna Macalos’ youngest son), born January 14, 2020 at 700 grams is very small and has a big fight ahead of him.
His Mom has an autoimmune disorder called APAS that treats Ilya’s growth in her tummy as a sickness, and as our bodies’ natural response to illness, it tried to fight it. Because of this, Ilya had an intrauterine growth restriction, and a placental abruption as his mom also had superimposed pre eclampsia. Too many medical terms but to make it short, Ilya’s mom’s body was not condusive for Ilya’s growth and his best chance to live is outside it.
Ilya is currently at the Level 3 NICU of De La Salle Medical Center in Dasmariñas, Cavite as this is the nearest facility to his parent’s hometown that can cater to micropremies like him.
We were told that Ilya has a long way ahead of him in NICU and most of his parents and grandparents finances have already been used up because of his mom’s back and forth hospital admissions (due to extremely high blood pressure) and his grandpa’s recent double cardiac bypass surgery.
We need all the help we can so we can fight Ilya’s fight too. Though small, he has a big fight ahead of him and we are with him all the way.
Any help you can give will be much appreciated. We need prayers and we also need financial help.

First night far from Ilya
Update posted by Ainna Fathi at 10:22 amHi! I am Ainna, Ilya's mom. We live in Santa Cruz, Laguna and it's about a 3 hour (sans traffic) drive to the hospital where Ilya is currently in. I just got discharged from the hospital yesterday and we decided to go home as we don't have a place to. . . . .

Have faith. Nothing is too small or too big for God. He loves Our children more than our love for them and I am sure he cares and will protect him from anything. Glory to God, Glory to Jesus Christ our King and Saviour. Praying and thinking about you.
