Campaign Story
My name is Paula and I am a film and animation student from the Netherlands. 16 students and I got the great opportunity to be a volunteer by Global Exploration. We are going to South Africa to help locals and make a difference in their society. I am also planning to make a make a documentary/vlog of my trip, to give the viewers a good insight of the South African culture and our adventures. This documentary will be available on Youtube after the trip.
This trip costs 1800 euro. I’ve paid 600 euro by myself, so need 1200 to make this happen. I hope that you would like to support me. Even 5 euro would help me a lot! Thank you in advance.
What is Global Exploration?
The foundation of Global Exploration (SGE) tries to structurally contribute through world citizenships structurally by creating the chance for students to explore the world and achieve behavioural change among those students. In this way SGE organizes projects for education in low and middle income countries. The foundation has no profit motive. They work together with some twenty secondary schools in a long-term partnership. They also have more than thirty partners from countries all over the world. Their motto is: “Together one World! What am I going to do in South Africa?
The other students and I are going to work together with local projects which needs financial support. Those projects are often related to our study : designing logos, making videoclips and giving workshops about several subjects. We stay in host families or sleep at school. This way, we can learn about the daily life and culture, how to communicate, food and drinks and the way of working in South Africa.
When I am going to South Africa?
I am leaving on the 22th of April and will return the 3rd of May 2020.
