My name is Angel Castillo. My daughter is Ana Castillo. Actually I have two, Ana F is the youngest, She's the one in the middle of the picture. We live in Honduras, Central America. I'm a systems administrator and sole provider to my house.

Ana is an honor roll student. She wanted to study at the Escuela Agricola Panamericana, also known as El Zamorano, here in Honduras. It's famous in Latin America for producing great professionals in the agricultural field. I wasn't prepared financially to put her on that university. The 2020 year there costs around $21,100.00 plus her personal expenses from living on campus. She's been an honor roll studed all thru high school so we started looking for a scholarship to get her in.

Her and I knocked on may doors requesting financial aid, especially on the university's scholarship program, and also the government. We knocked doors on many other institutions. In the end we couldn't get a full scholarship because we weren't poor enough and I couldn't get her the full tuition out of my pocket because I'm not rich. We got about two thirds scholarship between the university's scholarship program and the government. That meant that with a lot (and I mean a lot) of family sacrifice allowed us to put her thru the first year there.

For the 2020 year we started applying since August 2019 to several places we had applied to last year and had been told no and told us to re-apply for 2020. We hoped that at least some of them would give us a yes and help us out a bit more. However, that wasn't the case. We were told that they had chosen to help other students that were starting school there.

Ana has been a top notch student there with a 89% average. That is even though she got injured and had to have her knee immobilized for almost three months and had to go to therapy about 12 times and miss a lot of classes due to her injury and therapy.

All my life I have made many sacrifices so my daughters could study in good bilingual schools. I managed to get the oldest one thru college mainly by going into a lot of debt. I firmly believe that's the best inheritance I can give them so it's not something I regret.I would just like to be able to do the same with my other daughter.

We are feeling the financial pressure. Ana is a great student; she likes what she's studying and we've knocked on as many doors as we can. I've even asked about educational loans (on top of my current debt) and was told that they can't loan me the amount we need to put her the remaining three years of university there. At the most they can lend me two years' worth if I bring three people to co-sign the loan with me and pay only interest while she studies and then she would start paying the loan back once she graduates.

I'm asking for your help to put my daughter thru one more year of university studies. Meanwhile we'll continue to knock on the same doors that have said no in the past and on new doors that can open to us.

How can you help? There are many ways:

  1. If you can help with a donation here then you have my greatest thanks.
  2. If you want it to be a loan, I can do that too!! Just let me know how you want me to pay you back and give me enough grace time to do it.Again thanks a lot.
  3. If you want to send the funds directly to the school, you can do so. Just let me know in what country are you located and I will send you the information. Thanks indeed.
  4. If you have information about other places or organization we could ask for financial aid I would also appreciate it even if you can't or won't donate.I'm always looking for more places to go ask for help. Thank you.
  5. If you can't do any of those please just share this campaign with your family and friends. Please and Thank you.

This is a plea of a father asking for help for her daughter to complete her education. Thank you just for reading this. At the very least please share it, my entire family will be grateful.
