Open Heart Surgery for Baby Seth

I, Pia Gaoat, gave birth to Seth last Nov 15. I have this condition where being pregnant is a 50/50 chance. Fortunately, I conceived. Pregnancy was rough me. During my first checkup, the heartbeat was said to be faint.. but as the weeks go by, it became strong. I gave birth to Baby Seth at 38 weeks through an emergency CS. I tried to have a normal delivery but Seth’s heart rate decreased rapidly. When he came out, his heart stopped for seconds.

In this photo, Seth’s heart wasn’t beating. After
thorough tests and scans, they found out that he has a hole in his heart. On top of that, he has 2 tubes intertwined, which the doctor said is “Transposition of the great arteries and ventricular septal defect”. It is a condition where the two vessels of the heart carrying oxygenated and de-oxygenated blood are found to have been transposed. As a consequence, Seth’s heart has been pumping de-oxygenated blood throughout his body. The hole in the heart now serves a good purpose as it allows the flow of oxygenated blood (the reason he’s surviving now for the time being). He’s turning purple every time he cries or if there’s too much movement. His hands, fingers and feet are turning purple from time to time. He needs an open heart surgery as soon as possible before it affect his lungs and other organs.



they won’t cover this on my insurance. Also, they won’t do any medical assistance without down payment or money. I am asking for the goodness in your heart to help my little human survive. He needs to have this operation as soon as possible or his heart will fail him eventually. He’s a strong baby, and I would really like to see him grow and live. Thank you so much in advance.. ❤️
