Campaign Story
Kimberly and Tom Barron have been in Costa Rica probably longer than any of us expats in Manuel Antonio. For me, they are my go to people for anything about Costa Rica and definitely for Quepos/Manuel Antonio area. When Tom suddenly took ill, it was a shock and we all could feel the urgency and care that was needed right away.
Tom is still in that urgency stage and we can't even imagine what Kimberly is going through going back and forth to the hospital, making sure he is ok,making sure he sees her when he wakes up from his several surgeries and on top of that still trying to work in the tourism making sure the tourists are happy and enjoying themselves when all you want to do it just be with your husband.
Kimberly is one of the strongest people I know and is always willing to help others whether they are locals or expats. I know her well enough that she would never ask for help and I get it but I truly believe that our community will be willing to help her no matter what, so I created this campaign to help them with any expenses that have or will incur until Tom gets back on his feet.
Please feel free to donate whatever you can and it will definitely go to a good use to help Tom in his recovery .

New Year's Miracle!!!!!

Still hard to believe, but Tom got to wake up in HIS OWN BED this morning! We had to carry him in our house (with stairs) and he's skin and. . . . .
Out of ICU!!!!
Update posted by Vernita Gundy at 03:19 pmTom has been moved to a regular room.He is able to walk a few steps with help of course after 2 months of laying down. He has to build up those muscle again. He also got to eat real food! (Tilapia,baked potato and carrots...yum) He will still need help eating

Praying it’s just a few days while they monitor his heart and try to control the pneumonia. I’m stuck working in Manuel

Considering we practically wrote him off 10 days ago, this is a big accomplishment! Thanks to all for all the prayers and
