Finding Love

Filmmaker Viola Voltairine and author Renee Lane are raising money for the production of the film adaptation of Renee's book about intense and loving female led relationship with her partner, Butler. The book challenges conventions and shows what is possible when living a lifestyle outside of the norm, commanded by a strong and creative woman. We've brought on well-known screenwriter Guinevere Turner (American Psycho, The Notorious Bettie Page, Go Fish, the L Word) for a screenplay that expands on the story to represent a wider sampling of real life Female Led Relationships.

Fans of the book will find the movie just as challenging and provocative. Let's get this story out to a larger audience in theaters all over the world and on streaming services!

Our initial pre-production crowdfunding goal was $20,000. Thanks to your contributions, we hit that goal, and were able to shoot and edit one short scene! Watch it here!

With the first scene shot, Your contributions at this stage will keep the ball rolling by helping to pay for more scenes! With a great crew and marvelous actors on board, it will be easier to find film partners and investors to fund the production of the full-length film.

Now we are working toward raising more so we can keep the momentum going! The next stand-alone scene will be a real surprise to the audience as we've brought in collaborators from a mysterious D/s organization known since 1979 (more on this soon!).

Since shooting the first scene, we've gotten a couple of investors on board. We are have contractual commitments for 25% of the budget (contingent on raising the rest)! Those investments have enabled us to bring our stellar screenwriter Guinevere Turner on board! We are currently in the middle of a full rewrite to deepen the audience's experience of these amazing characters and their story.

Also, one of our investors so believes in this movie, that he has offered up $10K in additional funding for every $40K that someone else invests!

We've prepared a pitch deck and detailed investor package for those who'd like to become partners in the film, so don't hesitate to ask. A large investment now will mean cast and crew can work on this full time until we have a finished movie!

In short, the more we raise, the more we can shoot! We've committed to shooting one additional scene when we reach $75,000 total raised here via crowdfunding. We'll keep shooting this movie in bits and pieces over many years until we have the full budget (through a combination of crowdfunding and investments from those who believe in this project and would like to share in the film's success).
