Donate a Pillow

Physical comfort is a basic human need and yet something so many individuals are deprived of. We take the simple luxury of sleeping on a pillow at night for granted and yet so many children have never owned a pillow. It certainly doesn't directly address some of the overwhelming issues these individuals face, but a pillow represents an act of love and provides a form of comfort from the difficult lives imposed on these young souls.

Please join me in raising money to purchase pillows for vulnerable children and families living in the Ufafa Valley Community in Ixopo, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa by making a small donation. Woza Moya is a non-profit, community based organisation based in the region. They will distribute these pillows as part of their community-based outreach programme.

A simple act of giving a pillow is an act of love and generosity, which will be felt by these needy young children and can make a huge impact in their lives.

R100 will buy a good quality pillow and pillow slip. Our goal is to purchase at least 100 pillows for distribution in early January, so that 100 children can start the year enjoying a comfortable night's sleep for the first time in their lives.

A little about Woza Moya

Founded in 2000, Woza Moya is a community-based non-profit organisation situated in the Ufafa Valley Community, KZN.

Their vision is for all people of the Ufafa Valley Community to be healthy and productive, living in a safe and clean environment, with good access to services and social justice.

Their mission is to facilitate the empowerment of the community to fulfil their vision through community health services, capacity building, education, civic participation, engagement with service providers and other strategic partnerships.

They do this through various programmes - community healthcare, early childhood and youth development and sustainable livelihoods

Woza Moya have agreed to distribute the pillows to the communities and vulnerable children they serve.
