Home is where the heart is!
As part of my new start-up business, one of my visions is to raise funds to renovate a room or home for fellow South African’s who have fallen onto hard times.
I have my first client that I would like to assist and his house is based in Cape Town.
This client has managed to hold onto his house for 10 years, then life happened. So in order to keep the house, he decided to rent it out.
Unfortunately, they were not the right tenants, and we all know what happens to your house if you have the wrong tenants, so I am not going to bad mouth them in public, because we all go through hard times and it takes all sorts of people to make this world go round.
My clients is currently living with his parents and is working three jobs and is in a position to take his house back and make it a home. However, if you are working 3 jobs and you are a South African then you will know that money is tight.
The House urgently requires the electrics and plumbing looked at or even upgraded - so if you are an electrician or a plumber and would like to volunteer your time, product or funds please do not hesitate to contact me.
The windows around the house needs to be replaced - so if there is a company out there that would like to donate the frames or funds then please contact me.
The front boundary wall looks like it is falling over and needs to be replaced or secured - so for this project I am looking for companies who do boundary walls that are willing to donate the material or funds to the project as a whole.
Other things that need to be looked at:
Painting
Clean up Garden
Braai room ceiling is leaking
I would like to also look at getting a Nu-Tec styled flatlet to install on his property - so that he can rent it out and use these funds to get back on his feet.
This will be my first project on behalf of Day Decor and I am extremely excited and proud to launch this Fund Request.
My life took a turn for the worst 7 months ago and at 44 years old, single mom and being retrenched - I realised how many South African’s are in the same situation and battling.
The one thing that doesn’t change is where you put your head down at night. If your home is safe, clean and functional - it makes for a happier and more productive family and country.
Please help me get this initiative off the ground by donating as little as R10, you can contact me directly regarding material donations or if you would like to volunteer your time.

I have also just launched my website so you can also go to my Support page and make donations on the website.
All company donations will be advertised on my Website, Social Media Platforms and any marketing material used in the project for the duration of the project.
This Country Isn’t Going to Build itself - so if we stand together and help others - we as a Nation will save this country.
Be apart of this and donate.
Thanking you in advance

Update 23rd March 2020
Update posted by Mandy Day at 01:46 pmI have been trying to raise funds or materials to help a man save his home. This is not a once off for me - I would liked to grow this initiative and started helping more fellow South Africans. For starters I did not think that it would be this hard. . . . .
Campaign Update 10th March 2020
Update posted by Mandy Day at 04:39 pmIn my previous update - I mentioned that the tenants were still in the house and are currently "Squatting" and refusing to leave or pay rent.So in order not to lose the property - the owner has gone to Legal Aid to get assistance. The Law in South Africa regarding Rental. . . . .
Squatters - causing home owner to lose his home
Update posted by Mandy Day at 11:37 pmI am very sad and frustrated to say that the current tenants have not paid rent in 4 months and now are refusing to move out. Option 1 - Attorney (we do not have that kind of budget) Option 2 - Rental Tribual - could take months and lose his. . . . .
