Please help save this sweet boy!

This sweet boy is a stray dog and was hit by a car on the evening of Friday 20.09.2019 on Athinon Avenue.

The Municipality and its Animal Welfare were notified, but they delayed and volunteers from the area who saw the incident and stopped to help decided to transfer the dog to the Athens Animal Hospital in Pikermi, in order to not lose any more time as the dog seemed to be in a critical condition.

The dog has internal bleeding and a fracture in the spine. For the time being, his hind legs appear to be paralyzed, but he shakes his tail and reacts to anus stimulation which is a positive sign. We will know more after an MRI is conducted, but first his condition must be stable.

The total amount needed for his hospitalization from Friday night till Wednesday evening, (when he will be transferred to a volunteer's house as the hospital expenses are excessive), including the blood tests, CT scans, antibiotic and the MRI is 1000 Euro.

This campaign will be considered a success even if the amount collected is less than the one mentioned above. In case more money is collected, same will be used for his further treatment - if required- and if not, it will be donated to Animal Shelters here in Greece which are in immediate need.
