Help Houhak to live the rest of his days in peace

Houhak is a stray dog that used to live outside of our apartment in Rama 3 Road, he belongs to nobody. The people in our neighbourhood were kind to feed him daily. Houhak was also an occasional visitor of 7Eleven in our apartment, likes most of many other stray dogs in Thailand.

Around 2 years ago, we noticed that Houhak had a lump grew around its nose area that kept getting bigger until Houhak had trouble breathing.

We asked around and found out that there was a lady who took care of Houhak daily. We agreed to take Houhak to the Animal Hospital Chulalongkorn University for treatment. We managed to get a few neighbours to volunteer and helped to finance the cancer surgery treatment.

Houhak is a fighter. Fast forward to today, he lives in dog care-home in Suphanburi (1,5 hr away from Bangkok), and he gets frequent health check-up at Animal Hospital Kasetsart University, Bangkok once in 2-3 months.

However, yesterday, we found out that his cancer is back and now has spread to the mouth area and some close to the eye area.

Houhak is old, the vet predicts that he won't live long, however, we still want him to have a good life before he eventually dies of the old age.

To do that, we need to slow down the growth of cancer, so Houhak doesn't have to suffer from eating difficulties or blindness.

The best treatment option will be Radiation therapy to slow cancer growth by damaging their DNA. Given his old age and condition, the vet suggested to do it 7 times - in 7 weeks.

And we need your support to help finance the treatment - we have listed down the details as follows:

We have covered Houhak care-home cost monthly at 4,500 THB and we really need the help for this treatment as we want Houhak to continue enjoy the rest of his life without suffering.

We will report Houhak condition and all his treatment bill for your reference. The treatment is scheduled to start next week.
