HELP "INANG" ELIZABETH SANTOS FIGHT POLYCYTHEMIA VERA.

We would like to covet your prayers and help for my Mother-in-law Elizabeth Santos. She is diagnosed with a rare disease called Polycythemia vera.

"Polycythemia Vera" to give you an idea, it's a slow growing blood cancer in which your bone marrow makes too many red blood cells. These excess cells thicken your blood, slowing it's flow. They also cause complications such as blood clots, which can lead to a heart attack or stroke.

To confirm the findings, she was referred to a Hematologist and quickly requested for a set of Laboratory tests. Jak2 and Bone Marrow extraction are the major tests that are necessary.

At the eve of Friday, July 26, Inang suffered an unimaginable pain on her right foot that made them decide to rush her to the emergency room for the third time in a week. Her foot is turning violet to a black indication that there might be a blood clot that prohibits her blood to circulate normally.

Currently, she is admitted at James L Gordon hospital in Olongapo City, Philippines. They need to extract at least one bag of blood to loosen up the thickness due to the disease.

At her 4th day being admitted, the doctor requested a Doppler Ultrasound to see what is the cause of the abnormality of her right foot. Performed yesterday afternoon (July 29) it was concluded that the circulation stopped at the upper part of her right thigh, it is not determined if there is a blood clot or why the blood is not coming through.

Due to the urgency of the situation, her doctor decided to refer her to a much better facility that could focus on her medical needs and perform CT angiography and ultrasound to determine what exactly is happening and what procedure to be done. Inang is needed to be transported to Manila today (July 30). It's a race against time as her right foot is in jeopordy.

To ensure full recovery Inang will need support to undergo a series of special tests. Currently, she has no insurance or health benefits and her current hospital bills are piling up.

My Mother-in-law is very dear to me, it pains me to see her suffer. However, she has a positive mindset. By faith, she knows she can go through this. Any amount will be a big help to us. Thank you for your prayers. Thank you for being a channel of blessing. God bless!

You can also directly donate on her daughter's bank account.
