We will be grateful for any amount that you can share. Thank you so much and may the Lord bless your kindness.

My name is Patrick Ross Payawal. This crowdfunding is for my sister, Donna Payawal-Geroca, who is 37 years old, happily married and with a nine year old son. In 2017, she has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and also in the same year had the mastectomy operation and chemotherapy. Through the love, support and efforts given to her, and to us family by our relatives, friends and church brethren, my sister has successfully fight the first battle with cancer. After those treatments and with continuous diet, she regain strength, and felt like a normal and healthy person again. At least that's what we thought.

In May 2019, she had experienced difficulty in breathing, and was confined in a hospital. It was then that we were informed by the doctors, that her breast cancer cells metastasized to her lungs became active again. During her confinement in the hospital, she had undergone chest tube insertion to remove the fluids in her lungs and also a pleurodesis procedure was done hoping it would helped reduce the buildup of fluids in her lungs. At the same time, oral chemotherapy has also been advised to her. After almost one month of treatment in the hospital, thank God that she was finally sent home. The oral chemotherapy is still ongoing as scheduled.

Ate Donna's health condition is different than before. She is now dependent in supplemental oxygen. We are very grateful that our relatives helped us managed to acquire medical oxygen tanks that she can use at home.

On July 23, 2019, Ate Donna was rushed to the Emergency Room of a hospital because she is experiencing chest pain with shortness and difficulty in breathing. After running a series of tests, and preventive medications, we were told that the level of carbon dioxide in her body is very high, that sooner it can poison her brain and the rest of her body. She was advised by the doctors to undergo intubation to help her lower the level of carbon dioxide in her body and to help her ease her breathing. Following the doctor's advised, Ate Donna is now intubated. Other than that, the tests also shows possibility of a heart attack. She was advised for an angiogram to confirm the initial tests and to determine the treatment to be done. Thank God, the result of angiogram is negative. The doctor said that since the angiogram result shows no blockage in my sister's heart, the result of initial tests is possibly because of her metastasized cancer cells in her chest and that they can now rule out or eliminate the possibility of a heart attack.

From staying two days at the Emergency Room, then to the Catheterization Laboratory. Ate Donna has been moved to the Medical Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

Dealing with cancer is very difficult. We understand that Ate Donna's cancer is now incurable. But we are keeping our faith. We want her to stay by our side especially to her nine year old son turning ten this October. We wish her to see her son grow old, and see his life achievements or to be with her son in every happiness and sadness, failures and achievements in his life.

The financial aspect of cancer treatment is really very costly and very difficult to us family. We already reached out for the financial and medical assistance in government offices like PCSO and other government units, but it is not enough. We are thankful that my brother-in-law (Ate Donna's husband) expresses his love to Ate Donna, and also thankful that he has a regular job. We are also very thankful to our loving and very supportive relatives, church brethren and friends that are helping Ate Donna in her medication expenses. But because of the very costly treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, the expenses are really unbearable to us family.

We are pleading to anyone who is kindhearted and willing to help raise a fund for Ate Donna.

We will be grateful for any amount that you can share. Thank you so much and may the Lord bless your kindness.
