HELP ME SAVE THE WORLD THROUGH SCIENCE!

First and foremost I'd like to start by presenting myself my name is Ronaldo Jr. Cargando, 22 years of age. I was born and raise in Philippine in a family of five. I am creating this campaign in the hope of getting your help to start my study in Microbiology. When I was a kid, I dreamed of becoming a Computer Engineering to become rich and give all the things my family wanted. However, when I started studying and introduced to the beauty of Science, I felt in love with it. And my dream of becoming a Computer Engineer was change. I decided to pursue a career in Science; I decided to get a degree in Physics and Astrophysics. Unfortunately, Universities in the Philippines doesn't have this kind of field of studies.

So, I decided to get a degree in Public Administration major in Environmental Science as a combination of my passion for Science and Environment. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, way back year a few years ago, my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer. And she had undergone different surgery in the hope of curing her illness. However, no matter how many surgeries she underwent, even removing her breast to remove all the cancer cells. Cancer is really hard to defeat, because of this tragic event that happened to our family. I decided to stop my studies and started working to support my mother's medication expenses, and my two sibling educational expenses.

I'm asking for your help to support my studies, because just like every scientist and medical practitioner; I wanted to help millions or billions of people around the globe and make a change for the betterness of our entire human race. In this past few years of my life, I've been suffering depression; I keep thinking about my life purpose and the importance of my existence, I always wondered; what all the good deeds that I could for everyone. I learned that my main purpose in life is to help, serve, and protect many people as I can. And the only way I see to do that; is to get a degree in Virology or Microbiology.

I'm afraid and somehow fascinated about ancient bacteria and viruses that have a huge chance of wiping-out our entire race, like the Spanish flu that killed more than 65 million people. I believe that - if people on those days where only educated and full of knowledge about this bacteria and viruses, they would have been prevented deaths of millions of people. I imagine, How wonderful our world would be without these diseases and viruses. We can live in a peaceful and wonderful world together with our love ones.

If you could all help me, I will make sure to give all my life in curing and finding vaccine to all current and future diseases and virus that will become a treat to our entire existence. I'm planning to get this degree in either UP or PUP and I hope someone could help me to enter this Universities.

I have chosen to tell you my story in order for you to feel just how passionate I am about this journey and I see this as my main purpose in life.
