Namaste,
Here is the video showing the situation of people affected by flood.
My name is Bimal Kumar Jaiswal. I was born in a village called Kudiya, near Rajpur Farahadwa of Rautahat District, Nepal. A local river that flows through the village gets flooded every monsoon season. The flood affects the lives of thousands of villagers, leaving them suceptible to hunger and disease. Most people lose their shelters. Access to safe drinking water and nutritious food is limited.
Not only rural areas, but cities are also affected by flood. My family lives in a city called Gaur which is surrounded by three rivers. When flooded, they engulf the whole city. The water level rises to the point where one-storey buildings are uninhabitable. Thus, residents are compelled to settle on their rooftoop during the pouring rain. These videos clearly illustrate the devastating situation.
"Daani U" is the name of the project. The meaning of Daani is donor.
The project is about raising donation for flood affected people. I have decided to start with a village affected most.
Name of the Village: Bairiya- Rajpur municipality District: Rautahat
Number of families affected: 350 severely family affected
The planned date for distribution: 7 August
This is the video to show the situation of that village.
Items that will be donated:
Bedsheet and Umbrella.
The Estimated cost of an Umbrella: 400 (cost of printing included)
The Estimated cost of a bedsheet: 400 (cost of printing included)
There will be print on both items. The printed sentence will be "It is
donated ".
There will be a sticker of Daani U and the name of the donor on every item.
The total cost of both items to 350 affected family: 280 000
Total cost with logistics and other expenses: 280000+ 20%= 336000
In dollars: 3360
