Please help me for I am about to be homeless

Hello, recently I have been living together with a friend for the duration of my review for the upcoming board exam on October. Unfortunately, she has been causing trouble for both me and our land lady. She was not able to pay our rent for the past two months (mind you, this includes my share of the rent as well because I made the mistake of entrusting my share to her). So now she owes a total of 450 dollars and she moved out of the the apartment and left me to pay for all of her debt.

As much as I don't want to pay for her sins, my name is listed as an official tenant in the contract held by the land lady, and the rent is way overdue. I am in danger of getting kicked out of the unit if I am not able to pay what she owes soon. I've already raised this concern to my family but as it stands, they can only give so little with the given deadline. I have considered all options and have applied to a few jobs because of this, but in the process, my concentration for focusing solely on passing the board examinations is being affected.
