Help Nestea Totanes Battle Stage 4 Breast Cancer

One of our sisters, Nestea Totanes, who is also a volunteer in the Singles Ministry was diagnosed with Breast Cancer Stage 4. It has spread to her lungs which causes difficulty of breathing. She had to be admitted and has been confined in NKTI since Saturday, June 29. She never lost her sense of hope, and had every intention to share that hope with the hospital staff, or anybody she may possibly encounter, maximizing her stay in her assigned room.

As of this writing, the oxygen mask had to be replaced with a mechanical ventilator (or respirator) to assist with her breathing. Due to this, a tube also had to be inserted into her nose reaching her stomach by which she gets nutrition. Her breathing and eating patterns will have to first be normalized before she can undergo chemotherapy, and then surgery.

As the days quickly go by, and with the demands of her current health condition, the expenses also accumulate and the hospital bills keep adding up. Just this morning of July 7, we have learned the hospital bill is now over PHP100K, not yet including the doctors’ professional fees. Nestea and her family can use all the help they can possibly get.

The LORD has been gracious with family and friends who shower love and prayers, committed doctors and a dedicated medical team, and generous hearts who give and serve any which way they can. We are confident that being The Great Provider that He is, He will continue to send help and provide for all of Nestea’s needs.

We hope to encourage as much people as we can to remember Nestea as they fast and pray, and may we all be inspired by her surrendered life. The LORD is sovereign and in control. May His good, pleasing, and perfect will be done.
