Who is Nardo?
Our Lolo (grandfather), Minardo Tan (Nardo to his friends and family), is our super hero. He is a very loving and hardworking man. A man who never complains but gives his best to his wife, children and grandchildren. A man who is so brave to fight every battle he is facing. He is the best example of a father who loves unconditionally.
Nardo's Condition and Treatment
Last March 2019, with series of check ups and laboratory tests, He was diagnosed with Stage IV-Sarcomatoid Carcinoma (Rare disease). The doctors have found two (2) tumors in his body; one in his lung and one in the muscle of his heart. In order to survive, he needs to receive treatments such as Chemotherapy or Immunotherapy as soon as possible.
Our family decided for him to undergo chemotherapy (chemo). As a result, he experienced pain in his upper right chest and right leg. He also experienced spitting and coughing blood. He was prescribed the following medications attached below:
His last chemo session was on May 28, 2019. After 3 sessions of chemo, the doctor needed to check if there are improvements by instructing him to do a CT Scan and a 2D Echo. Unfortunately upon reading the result, his body did not respond to the chemo medication given by his doctor. Currently, the result show that the tumor in his body increased in size from 5.9x4.3x5.0cm to 7.6x4.6x4.5cm. There is also a mass erosion on his 3rd rib.
Our Lolo cannot undergo surgery to remove the tumor in his lung due to the thrombus seen in his heart. So, the doctor suggested to undergo Immuno-therapy instead. According to the doctor, this will cost Php157,000(~3,140 USD) per vial and tatay needs 2 vials per immuno-therapy which will costs Php314,000 (~6,280 USD) per session, and he needs to continually do the sessions until the tumor disappears. As of now, we are hoping that it will only take six sessions, which the total cost will be Php1,884,000 (~37,680 USD)..
We are emotionally and financially devastated by his condition. We never expected that he would experience such illness. We wanted to prolong his life by giving him the necessary medications and medical procedures he needs, but financially we are having difficulties. We are not losing hope and we will never lose hope for the healing of our beloved Lolo. We are knocking at your kind hearts to help us raise funds for him. A little bit of help will be appreciated. Please, please, please, if you find it in your heart to help us, then please help us. We know that God provides. We pray that God will return the favor a thousand fold to you and the rest of your family as you help someone like our grandfather.

According to World Health Organisation (WHO) estimates, 9.8 million cancer deaths were reported globally in 2019. The number is going up due to several reasons include changing lifestyles and improved diagnostics.🎗️🎗️🎗️ Cancer is the second most common cause of death in India. This #WorldCancerDay, let’s pledge to spread more awareness about this disease and use our collective energy to help those suffering from it & help those fighting to cure it. Lord I come before You, desiring to provide thanks. Father, I have so much to be thankful for, things unseen and seen, that You have done in my life. Lord, mostly I am thankful for the relationship that I have with You. Lord, You initiated this relationship, by what Your Son endeavored to accomplish, paying the price for my sin, redeeming and reconciling me. Dear Heavenly Father, You know the times I have been ungrateful, held ill thoughts toward You and my fellow humans. You know the times I complain and grumble about life and its circumstances, about suffering, going through what seem endless trials and tribulations. Even yielding my members to unholy deeds. Yet God You are and always will be there with me, even when it seems like I am forever in the wilderness, running further and further from You, You, my God are there guiding me back to Your loving arms. I am thankful Lord for everything that You allow to cross my path. Thankful for the decisions that You allow me to make and the lessons that come from these decisions. I’m thankful, Lord, that I do not have to live under condemnation anymore, that You have truly set me free, that I am a new creation that I need not live under the law anymore. Father, in Jesus name, I pray for all cancer patients. You said in your word, that if we attend to your Word and incline our ears to your sayings, and will not let them depart from our eyes, but keep them in the midst of our heart, your words will be life and health to all our flesh. You said because of your Word we overcome the world and the flesh, by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Father, you said in your word that no evil will befall us, neither would any plague come near our dwelling. For you have given you angels charge over us and they keep us in the pathway of Life. Father, give them a hunger for your word. Show them from your word your will to heal and make them whole. Give them understanding of the price paid by Jesus to redeem them from the curse. Jesus, you took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses. Therefore I refuse to allow sickness to dominate their body. Father this Cancer, tumor or Growth was not place there by you, so In Jesus name I speak to this Cancer and I tell you, the Name of Jesus is above every name and you will leave their body. Every Cancer cell, every tumor and growth I command you to die and leave now. Jesus, you bore the curse for my brothers and sisters therefore I forbid growths, tumors or cancer to inhabit their body. The life of God within them dissolves all growths, tumors and cancer cells, and their strength and health is restored. Growths, tumors and cancer has no right to their body. They are a thing of the past for they are delivered from every power of darkness. Jesus, you are their Healer and the strength of their life. I speak to every organ and tissue in their body and tell them to function the way God intended. I forbid any malfunction in their body in Jesus Name. Father, I thank you for healing them, I bless you and worship you for you are the healer. In Jesus Name, Amen
