Campaign Story
My name is Sebastian Pratt and I live in Malta. I am a student at Verdala International School and am just about to complete Year 9. On June 29, 2019 together with my Dad - Brian we begin an exciting and long anticipated adventure as we start our climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro which is the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.
I will be 15 years old, we are taking a more difficult route which be a little more challenging but I am confident we will reach the summit on 5th July.
I have set myself a goal to raise funds for a charity with this climb and I have chosen Malta Peace Lab which provides those less fortunate than me with a place to feel part of a family and to feel equal no matter their circumstances. I have an enormous amount of respect for the founder of the Peace Lab, Fr. Dionysius Mintoff, who works very hard to create an open and unrestricted meeting-place, where people of all backgrounds and attitudes can feel united.
We have visited Peace Lab as a school and I believe it is a great cause - last time we visited we helped them decorate their kitchen and they have a big need for funds to help maintain and create new spaces for the people who rely on Peace Lab as their place to call home.
Please help me to help others who are less fortunate than ourselves and through no fault of their own find themselves without a home, family and friends.
Any amount large or small is greatly appreciated. I will send photos of the presentation of the funds to Father Mintoff and the Malta Peace Lab team on my return.
THANK YOU!
Sebastian Pratt
