Emergency Veteranarian Surgery

We are desperately trying to help my mom and dad pay for emergency surgery for their adopted Italian mastiff, Angel-baby. Angel-baby is a rescue that they have had for about a year and a half. My brother was asked to shoot her because she was "useless." He wouldn't ever, but couldn't keep her because he is active military. Like many of our pets, Angel was adopted by our family. My mom is disabled from a work injury 10 years ago, and my father is a retired truck driver. Together they average $1200 a month to live on. My husband and I, and my brothers try our best to keep our parents afloat with groceries, gas monies, and by helping to pay their taxes. Today we took Angel-baby to the nearest emergency vet hospital because she began leaking blood from her vulva. We had learned from other vet visits that she is nearly 90% blind, totally deaf, and had been abused by her previous owners. She was diagnosed with a severe uterine infection which requires immediate surgery. By the time she arrived there this afternoon she was gushing blood every time someone put any pressure near her stomach. The estimate was staggering. We had come up with $1000 to help but it is not nearly enough. At this point, we are struggling with what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
