A fire that broke out in Barangay San Miguel, Puerto Princesa, during the wee hours of April 19th left over 30 families homeless, and two children orphaned. The Tesico sisters, Kirzteen Joan Angeli (aged 12) and Keilah Joanna Angelene (aged 9), barely made it out alive while their mother, our dearest Tita Mae (Myrna Tesico), died in the hospital after risking her life saving her two daughters who both suffered third degree burns. The sisters are still in critical condition as Keilah burned 35% of her body surface, while Kirzteen 75%.

As of writing, the total medical bills has already raked up to over PHP 200,000 and will continue to go up as doctors say that the sisters' road to recovery will be a long one. The family needs all the help, support, and prayers they could get. Tita Mae has been the most hardworking person ever - she has strived hard to make ends meet every day, taking every opportunity she could get to earn and provide for her children.

I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of Tita Mae's daughter, and the two kids' older sister, Kate. We hope to merit your support not only to help with the Tita Mae's burial and their medical bills, but also for the children's welfare after they have recovered. Any amount will surely help and rest assured be carefully and well-accounted for.

Tita Mae was an amazing person with an amazing heart, Kia and Sheena have so much ahead of them and Kate, their whole family, welcomes any kind of help in this very rough time.

Hello All!We are very thankful for the outpouring of help from all, especially the different government agencies, politicians, private individuals, who have pledged to shoulder all the medical bills until the girls have recovered. This is the reason why, after careful discussion among us close friends of Kate, we are. . . . .

  • Today Christ has risen, and I'm sure you will rise again from this tragedy. I pray to God and Christ that they guide you through this tragic experience. Everything happens for a reason and I'm sure your mother will be watching and protecting you both. I'm sorry that this is all i can afford but I hope it helps.
