Campaign Story
Alexia de Klerk, (17) was given the life changing news after doctor visits and ultrasounds. She has ovarian cysts and a solid mass on her right ovary. Blood tests came up positive for CA 19-9. Ovarian Cancer. Two choices were given, chemo or remove the ovary and with chemo out of the question, removal is the only option. This procedure is very expensive. All tests till the procedure will be done at a govermant hospital. Being in matric Alexia is missing out on very important work and experiences at school. Top 10 in her grade, this is a big concern for her. These funds will go for Pre and Post operation treatment and scans.
