Within “Reach”

Hello all

My name is Levi Cano and I'm a guitarist/composer based in the UK.

Firstly, I'd just like to say thank you for visiting the page and showing interest in my music. I'm hugely inspired by the prospects of recording this music and turning it into a reality.

I've been working on this current set of tunes since Dec 2016 and whilst all the songs are done and in the bag, the funding however isn't. So for these songs to see the light of day sooner rather than later, I decided to launch this crowdfunding project as a means to speed production time and enable me to continue moving forwards and working on newer and better projects for the future!

I could never do this on my own, so helping me in the studio and on the stage will be bassist LAWRENCE JENNER and drummer BILL BURNS, two Brighton based musicians with plenty of credit to their names. Another name to mention is my friend and teacher, Philadelphia jazz-fusion guitarist SCOTT MCGILL, who I am honored to say will be guest appearing on the album. I'm very lucky to have this group of solid musicians helping me with this stuff, but we all have lives and must organise our time in the studio around everyone's busy schedules, so our time frame is somewhat limited.

The funding will go towards renting the studio and an engineer, musician hire, artwork, and any pre-paid physical copies of the album purchased as a reward for investing . (All patrons will get their names listed in the album liner notes as "Executive Producers")

The E.P is going to be recorded at Small Pond Studios in Brighton, (UK). Here I'm working with guy's I've worked with before and trust to give me an honest, raw and most of all professional representation of this music whilst generally being fine chaps to work with for days straight! So choosing them was a no-brainer and I'm really pleased to have them on board.

It's a lot to take on, especially as I'm the only guy writing this stuff, but the journey it's taken me on so far and seeing it this close to being done is a truly inspiring and humbling feeling. The eating of buttered noodles and falling behind on my rent and bills will all be worth even one second of hearing this music sounding the way it should be.
