Abe’s Fight

We ask for your help in fighting for our Uncle Vicente "Abe" Almonte III's life. Last March 24, Abe suffered from stroke last March 24. This caused a huge blood clot in the left side of his brain, which resulted to trauma and bruising. He was comatose for five days. An open brain surgery was done last March 28 at Rizal Medical Center, and although this is a high risk operation, we took the risk in order to save our Uncle's life. He is now on recovery, but is still in the ICU. Doctors told us that the recovery will be long and hard, considering that he is now experiencing complications like pneumonia and possible infections. Part of his skull was temporarily removed (fore or front part) to give way for the brain to heal and shrink back to its original size.

As much as we would like to do everything that we can in order to give him the best treatment, the operation, continuous medications and hospital bill has taken its toll on our financial capability. Doctors informed us that his speech, comprehension and movement on the right side of his body will be affected by the stroke, and this will require a long process of therapy and rehabilitation once his body has recovered.

We would like to appeal to your kind person to help us in this fight for Abe. Any amount donated will be very much appreciated, and will help us a long way. We are also holding a prayer rally everyday at 12noon to pray for his recovery. We hope you could also join us in seeking for God's guidance and help during this ordeal. Above all, God is the the most powerful healer.
