Support Melissia Basketball Club activities

Dear friend,

Melissia Basketball Club (Melissia BC) is a non-profit athletic association, based in the community of Melissia in Athens, Greece. It is officially recognized by the General Secretariat of Sports and is also a member of the Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) and the Association of Athens’ Basketball Clubs (ESKA).

Melissia BC is one of the largest basketball clubs in Athens, with 400 athletes (3 y.o-adults) in 28 sub-groups. The management team consists of volunteers (former athletes, basketball coaches, parents of athletes, friends of basketball), who selflessly give their best every day to keep Melissia BC sustainable. These are our driving forces:

Our Vision: As an athletic association, to stand out for our versatile educational and social action, that transmits values and offers to athletes, of any age and level, stimuli and valuable experiences necessary for body-mind-character edification.

Our Mission: To offer young athletes’ the chance to develop their basketball skills, adopt values and feel the joy of the game, as well as to provide advanced players with the chance to further improve and excel at basketball.

Through our Social Responsibility program, stemming from our sense of duty to further support society, every year we offer sports scholarships to children that belong to sensitive socioeconomic family groups (unemployed, low-incomed, single-parent families, etc).

As a non-profit organization, we exclusively rely on Volunteers and Donations. In times of great socioeconomic difficulties and lack of financial support from the state, Melissia BC often fails to cope and continue its significant contribution to sports and society.

Therefore, we kindly ask for your support and donation! Every single offer is significant to us, that we feel deeply grateful for!

Our financials are always handled wisely.

The amount of money raised, will be allocated to the following areas:

• Necessary equipment purchases
• Jerseys and apparel purchases
• On-site camp costs for our young athletes
• Tournament costs
• Sports scholarships
• Team’s travel expenses
