Campaign Story
It is very heart breaking to see your daughter, who you took care for 18 years , lying in the hospital bed unconscious and has suffered multiple injuries only because someone decided to drink and drive.
I am a single mom with 5 kids. I work day in and day out to support my family so you can only imagine how devastated I was when I got a call that my 3rd child was hit by an SUV while crossing the pedestrian lane while on her way to school.
Here's our story...
Dhane, together with her 2 schoolmates, was hit by an SUV driven by a lady driver who was "drunk". She sustained traumatic brain injury. She needs extensive physical, occupational, and speech therapies to get her back to her feet. She has also has post traumatic amnesia where she retains recent memories in a span of 3-5 mins. The driver paid half of the hospital bills but is now refusing to help Dhane with her therapies and medications. Also, any excess funds will be used to help me fight her legal battle against the influential driver.
Dhane, a consistent honor student, is a graduating senior high student and wants to be a lawyer. Now she can't even remember what we've talked about just a few minutes ago, (imagine Dory in Finding Nemo). She is undergoing therapy right now with the help of friends and family but they can only do so much.
