Campaign Story
Balan is a city in Harghita, Romania - just in the middle of the country. It's a poor city, where stray animals don't live a great life: they are beaten, poisoned, abandoned. There are dogs roaming free on the streets, searching for food and eating what they can find (most of the times, they eat grass or packages from people's food). Even dogs and cats with owners have a poor life - they mainly eat potatoes and they rarely get to be vaccinated, not to mention spayed. That is why all year round, people abandon puppies at the outskirts of the city. The only solution to stop this is to educate people about animal welfare and to spay and neuter as many as we can.
In this context, me and my friend want to have a spay and neutering campaign for cats and dogs, with or without owners, in May 2019. It would be our 3rd campaign in Balan and we want to spay at least 50 cats and dogs in 2 days.
To reach our goal and to make our campaign more visible, I have entered a semi-marathon competition (although I hate running :p ): Brasov Marathon, on April 20th, 2019. With your support, I want to raise money for 1 spay/ kilometer - this means 21 spays!! One spay costs 40 Euros, but everyone can donate as little as they can!

For the love of dogs :)
Update posted by Cristina Iordache at 10:10 amI hate running, but what I won't do for cats and dogs! So I've started training for the half-marathon - hopefully I will survive the first 5 km. On the bright side, Pufi (our rescue) seems to be enjoying running :) So please donate - all the donations will go
