Help Artem Makhno to fight Leukemia

He was only 10 months old when his parents were struck by the terrible diagnoses — Congenital Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. The chemo therapy treatment received in Ukraine has failed. He was sent to a hospital in his home city and prescribed palliative care whart literally meant slow death. The doctors told the parents to be ready for the worst any day.

Now Artem is 21 month old. He's a very lively and energetic kid in the days he's feeling well and his smile is so contagious. He is a fighter, he will go through the thick and thin to become a winner, but he needs our help!

Thanks to the joint efforts of volonteers and donors, our funraising campaign reached $ 206,000.00. From 6th February Artem is undergoing the treatment at Israeli The Sheba Medical Center. It was a month of complex theatment which concluded the course of chemo and steroids. It was very difficult for Artem, due to steroid his mood would go up and down in a minute, his appetite increased in times and he put on some weight. But on 5th of March will be the last dose, and after the puncture will be taken decision abour cell collection for CAR-T therapy. This therapy means using patient's own immune T-cell to confront cancer cell. It has very high success rate in remission of the young children — over 80%.

The next stage after CAR-T is bone marrow transplantation needed to maintain reached results and kind of restart the stem cells and make them work correctly.

The price of it reaches up to $ 250,100.00 depends of the tries to find a sutable donor.

This stage is the most difficult because the amount is just annornmous comparimg to what we have raised for the first and secont stage for Artem's fundraising. But we feel optimistic because people all over trhe world support us by donating money and spreading the word.
