Heart Operation

This is Uncle Tay. He is 62 years old and He is our condo bus driver. He is very nice, witty and accommodating. And above all loves to play with the kids. I really love this guy, for I have witnessed how he cares and loves people. Though he doesn't speak much English and I don't speak Chinese, we manage to understand each other well and laugh when we find words difficult to explain.

I am writing this campaign to ask you help me bless this man. A month ago (dec 2018) I had an opportunity to speak with uncle personally. He mentioned that he will soon undergo heart operation after Chinese new year. The surgery is scheduled on February 28 and his last day of work will be on the 26th of February or depending on the doctors advise. Upon hearing this, I felt the urge to help him.

He has been working in our condo for about a year now. He starts working at 6:30am till 7:40pm, 6 days a week (I'm glad that he has Sunday's off though). In spite of his situation, I never hear him complain. Instead, I am greatly encouraged to see him serving and doing his job well (you know having a good heart makes a difference regardless of the situation your in). Though at times, I noticed that he is a bit concerned with his upcoming situation yet he never allows it to override his hope.

Today, we went out for lunch and I asked him about his finances. He told me briefly about how the operation will be subsidized by the government via CPF, but of course he still has to pay. I don't really know how much the operation will cost but I believe that this money raised for him will be of great help for his medication and sustainance for the coming months while on recovery.

I just really want to bless this man, as He did blessed us with his service.
