This is Chloe Nicole, our 6-year-old daughter. She was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia last 2016.

Chloe loves ballet and would always be excited for her next practice. She never complained that she had to wear a mask whenever she has practice as long as she gets to dance.

Her 1st ballet recital

She went through chemotherapy and even though she had a hard time finishing her maintenance cycles, she always went to the hospital without complaints and tried her best to be brave with every needle poke she took.

This was Chloe 2 years ago when she first started her treatment.

Our family was taking her road to recovery one-step at a time when suddenly last December 6, our world fell apart upon discovering that NOT only has her leukemia relapsed, but also (2) TWO more types were added. As per the doctors, this rarely happens and estimated only a 20% chance for us.

Still we know that with the Lord at our side nothing is impossible. So with heavy hearts our family decided to leave our loves ones, including our 2nd daughter Madison to the care of her grandparents in order to give Chloe the best fighting chance by going to Singapore for treatment where several options are only available there and not locally thus boosting our chances of surpassing this trial.

Her upcoming treatment would require intensive chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant for her to be given a chance to be cured. She would have to surpass 2 intensive and high risk chemotherapy cycles (5 days of straight heavy chemotherapy for each cycle wherein she would be very vulnerable to infections that may put her life at risk) and be able to achieve remission after she recovers before she would be eligible to do a bone marrow transplant, of which is also risky.

Without the transplant, Chloe’s hope for cure would remain very slim. The hospital gave us an estimate of SGD 200,000 for her chemotherapy sessions and another SGD 250,000 for the whole course of her treatment, this is equating to SGD 450,000 (approximately 17.5 million to 18 million PESOS) and this does not even include possible additional costs just in case complications arise.

We were just beginning to recover from the expenses we had when she was first diagnosed 2 years ago, but still we believe that God will provide all our needs through the people around us. If the Lord has touched your heart to share your blessings, our family would be more than grateful.

Please help us and also pray for us as we bring back hope to her that she would be able to dance again, play and be reunited with her sister again. May Chloe be a shining testimony that our God is in control.

with her sister Madison during our recent trip to Baguio last November

We humbly ask your support so that our family can continue on to be whole. Thank you very much and may the Lord richly bless you.

Thank you once again and please do keep us in your prayers especially our Amazingly Brave Chloe.

Hair Loss

Update posted by Jan Michael Oyales at 07:59 am

People would always comment that you were like a little adult, quiet, reserved and we would always struggle to guess what was running through your mind. There would be times we wished that you'd just throw a tantrum, like other kids do, at least we would know what you wanted. . . . .
