My friend and her children recently lost their home due to a fire. My heart hurts for her and her little ones because they have went through so much in the past year, a divorce, loss of a grandfather to congestive heart failure, an uncle to lung cancer, and a cousin to suicide. Now a total loss of all their belongings, and priceless items that can't be replaced, her kids birth videos, baby books, photos, and keepsakes.

She has always helped people in any way that can. She volunteers for trunk or treat and other events at her church, helped coach her kids youth cheer and football team, helped build habit for humanity homes in highschool, and so much more! Her kids, bless their hearts, feel passionate about helping people too. Her daughter who's 11, spoke to her entire school about bully prevention. She also rides with the special needs kids sometimes as the teachers assistant. She has a cousin she is very close to that has autism and on his challenging days she makes sure he gets home ok. My friend's sons ages 9 and 6 like visiting their grandma at assisted senior living. They play board games with her and the other residents there, color them pictures, and her youngest son made a nurse cry by telling her " I know everyone here has to take medicine to feel better, but i think they need a hug it makes my grandma feel better."

I'm hoping that they can have a Christmas miracle this year and know that they will be forever greatfull for anything they get. My friend always tells me her favorite passage when I'm down and it helps me. So to my friend who's more like a sister " Faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain."
