PAPA ROGER’s Thank you message

Papa Roger was sent home from the hospital today.

Psalm 107:1 (NIV) -“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

I would like to start this message by saying Thank you. Our family was overwhelmed with the blessings you all shared. We are humbled by your recent expression of support you gave this family.

When I started this campaign, it was a move of desperation and false hopes. I raised this campaign knowing that this would be seen and heard but never accepted. I attempted to share our story through social media knowing that a lot of people would take their time to read the story and share. I knew it was impossible to raise a large amount of money. I knew it would be difficult and that not all those who read would take it seriously. Others may have their own perspective, opinions and understanding.

The only thing that made me do it was my father-Papa Roger. I would let the world judge. Some may look down on us with pity. Some would take it as a joke. Some would ignore and some may delete the message. It doesn't matter anymore to me because I know this is one of our options and maybe, just maybe we could touch people's hearts.

When I submitted the campaign and hit enter. I started to received likes and people started to asked things. I don't know what would happen but what I knew then was at least I tried. I never thought this would work.

Then I received a message from a dear friend, we haven't seen each other in a while. We are not the type of friends that calls each other or see each other often. We barely communicate. Her partner was my childhood friend. I met her through Job. We became friends.

She sent me a message asking how I was and that I'm included on her prayers. Then she stated " would love to help kaso limited resources as of the moment". It was alright with me I know her situation as well and she mentioned that her son (my godchild) would undergo a surgery as well. Her next message stopped me and I felt so overwhelmed and I cried, "Magtransfer ako s bdo acct mo... d malaki ah... pero hope it helps..." Her act of kindness started it all.

Makuh Bañas started the funds in this campaign. The support she gave for this campaign was the first step so that others would follow. I would like to thank her for being the first person to trust and started the movement. From my family to yours, Thank you so much Kuh.

My father had a successful surgery. We are thankful to God for my father's speedy recovery. The doctor's fee had been settled we were able to raise enough funds to settle the balance, all because of your overwhelming support. I would like to thank you that your financial support was unexpected but I know that prayers are our strongest weapon during this journey.

This is the best Christmas gift that our family has received. Our gratitude for your kindness will remain in our hearts forever. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
