Death count rises 45 as cyclone Gaja leaves a trail of destruction

Tamil Nadu needs your help.....

Cyclone Gaja, which hit the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu, brought with it deadly force and damaged properties and took 63 lives in its wake. The worst affected areas were Nagapattinam, Tanjore, Thiruvarur, Pudukkottai and Cuddalore districts. Despite the fact that a week has elapsed since the cyclone made landfall, over two lakh people are still in relief camps.

I believe all of you are aware of the damages caused by the Gaja Cyclone in Tamilnadu,India.

May God protect us from such devastations.

The current state of the affected areas seems like a war-torn place where people, that includes children and elderly, fighting for the relief aids such as food and biscuit packets, water bottles and even for small stuff like candles.

Looking at their plight, I believe it is our duty as fellow human beings to reach out to our brothers and sisters in urgent need.

Even though there are various forms of aid assisting the affected, it still doesn't seem to provide enough as there are just too many mouths to feed.

Couple of my friends, relatives and volunteers are working relentlessly to supply food & biscuits packets and water bottles in the badly affected areas.

In order to provide for many, I am collecting donations here in Singapore to send them which will be well used for food preparations and to purchase other basic necessities such as water bottles and sanitary products.

For those who are unable or not sure how to help the affected, this might be a great oppurtunity for you to reach out to them.

Therefore I request you all to contribute whatever amount you can,be it small or big, each and every dollar counts.

Please do inform and share this with your families, relatives, friends and acquaintances. The more amount garnered, the more people will get benefited.
