As you can see from the first picture, the Kitten's hind legs are much better after more than a week of care from the awesome vets at the clinic ;)
The kitten decided to perform a spiderman stunt because we shifted him to a slightly bigger cabin in order to fit in his new litter box. And he did that because he didn't adore the change in environment...lol such a typical cat. Anyway, the Kitten doesn't quite know how to use the litter box yet. But at least he's showing some interest in it, and was able to move in and out of it despite its injured hind legs.
We are still actively looking for a permanent home for this kitten. Crossing our fingers that we could find a kind family to give him all the hugs and kisses he deserves.
Tgif, guys ;)
We only managed to get to the clinic 10 minutes before it closed.
But we still got the chance to check in on the kitten and gave him his first toy. We had prepared the toy, thinking that he could be moody from his first deworming and vaccination experience. But no, this little one stays bubbly and active (and also greedy).
Nvm that he ditches us for the new toys, as long as he stays healthy and happy. That's all that matters ;)
This little boy was so excited when we visited him this evening after work. He was purring, he was squeezing himself into our arms and asking to be tickled and hugged. He complained when we stopped the head rubs. And when we closed the cabin and wanted to take our leave, he will let out this most heartbreaking and almost inaudible cry. Even the vets say he has changed from this really fiesty boy when we first sent him to the clinic to this really warm and sociable kitten. How not to love him?!?!
Anyway, he's now assessed to be in a better condition for deworming and vaccination. So tomorrow, this kitten is going to take his first jab. We are going to bring him toys and love again tomorrow evening to pacify him. Can't wait to see him again tomorrow!
A big shutout to all who have come forward with their contribution for the kitten's surgery and medical fees - thank you and the kitten is recovering well :)
Quick update of the funds used so far:
1. Funds received through GoGetFunding = + 1281.00
2. Funds received via Paynow and Paylah = +1261.00
3. Amount paid out = - 3383.74
We may not have raised enough to fully cover the bills so far, but we are still extremely comforted by the encouraging and caring msgs, advice, help, support that has come to us these few days.
Our kind medical team at Ohana Vetcare has also offered to help us take care of the kitten for another week while we find a permanent home for the little one. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and patience.
The shelters and boarding homes we have reached out to in the past days have rejected us because the kitten has felv. However, we are not going to stop trying or leave it in the lurch. We are still hoping that someone will take him in and give him the love he deserves. Despite his condition and the accident, this kitten is recovering well and his personality is starting to show and shine. He's really warm and sweet. And he's eating like a lion lol ;)
So if you intend to have just 1 cat in your household, or if you happen to know anyone who's thinking of adopting just 1 cat, please reach out to us. The kitten is a darling, and we are happy to work with u through the adoption process.
More cute pics and updates of the kitten in the next few days to come :)
Today we didn't get a chance to visit Kitten because we were hunting for a temporary home for him after he gets discharged.
But our very nice vets kept us updated of Kitten's condition over calls and whatsapps. This kitten tried the wet food we brought over... And apparently he didn't like it as much as the ones the vets gave in the last 2 days. So young only and he acquires such exquisite palate. Tsk Tsk Tsk.
Can't wait to see him again tomorrow to give him his favourite head rubs ;)
So this little warrior was asleep when we went to visit him today. Now we learn that he doesn't like when we interrupt his beauty sleep, as he was complaining a little when we did ;)
Nonetheless when he saw us, he attempted to walk towards us, kept meowing at us to give him his favourite head rubs. Does he actually recognise us?
The long scar on his small body pains our hearts. But his fierce fighting spirit and warm personality make up for everything. Yes, he's been diagnosed with felv. But he's just 4 months old. He still deserves a shot in life. He's fighting for his life, he's eating like a lion. Who are we to dampen his spirits?
We didn't regret saving him at all. We are very proud of him. And we will do what we can to support him in his passion for life (and of course food :)).
If you are looking to adopt just one cat, please consider giving this little guy a chance.
This kitten is recovering well from its surgery and eating well!

The clinic is also kind enough to stagger its billing while we raise funds for the kitten. We will update this page with the clinic receipts when we receive everything next week.
In any case, rest assured that all funds raised will go to the Kitten's medical bills. In the event of excess funds raised, we will donate them to the cat shelters to help more cats in need ;)
