Help to send, Help for the young generation

Lack of leadership among youths lead to an uncertain and dim future. A poor leadership causes lack of vision and direction in the community and for that reason the community struggle to move forward. The main reason behind this is that leadership requires practice and process. But the opportunities that are given to the youth are very few and minimal.

Youth participation is a process of involving young people into the decision making table that will directly affect the community's future. Youth leadership ensures that the future generations is equipped with competencies necessary for a strong leadership. The development and encouragement to the youth to be a leader is the key to an ensure and secure future of ones place.

Hi I'm Allen Jed Borromeo, who works in a NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) that primarily educates young people, provide them directions in life, and guide them through it.

I have dedicated my life in inspiring, helping and guiding the young people. To change the limits of their thinking to themselves, to have a greater impact to the society around them. For them not to be a problem of the future society but a solution in the making.

I have applied for and got accepted in this program called 2019 Global Peace Leadership Exchange – “Moral and Innovative Leadership for Peace and Development". GPLE is an international leadership program that empowers aspiring leaders across the globe to be the change they wish to see in the world. The program has engaged youths and young professionals from over 70 countries since 2011. This leadership program offers trans-formative experiential learning and equips our young leaders with global competency and networks to become global leaders.

I do not want to let this kind of opportunity just pass. And this kind of opportunity will be a great help for me to have a greater perspective of the other cultures, that I could use in motivating the younger ones. However, due to financial setbacks, I may or may not be able to join. That is up to you to change.

My mother is already a retired teacher, and my father as well works in a NGO.

I sincerely come to you asking for any amount of support possible to be used for my fees. Although we still have to wait less than 5 months, the registration fee (see picture above) is already due for payment on December 05, 2018 and will increase after the said date. And the airfare cost is roughly around $260.

I want to show everyone that even though I am at a disadvantage financially that this will not stop me from achieving the goals I want to accomplish for the greater good of the world. It may seem big but every little things help. I hope you can find it in your heart to allow me to take this once in a lifetime opportunity.
