Justice for Jason: Please Help Us Raise Funds for Jason's Legal Defense.

International Filmmaker Jason Lim has been trapped in a nightmare for the last year, and it's getting worse! He has been “silenced” and falsely accused by the Malaysian Police (details below) and now is threatened with a 10-year jail sentence.

Considering the abuse and injuries he suffered during various encounters with the police and during several days in jail, we are concerned that his health and sanity are in great danger. He desperately needs help with fighting off the false accusations.

Jason has now found a lawyer who has the experience and knowledge to help him, but since he has spent everything he had for his previous (and ineffective) defense, he needs to raise money to pay for his new legal fees. The goal is to raise $25,000 to cover the cost of the legal fees and the fundraising expenses.

So what happened to Jason Lim?

On November 10th, 2017, Jason went to a massage spa in a shopping mall for a back massage to relieve his back pain. During the massage, Jason Lim was sexually assaulted by the Indonesian Male Masseur who was assigned to provide the massage.

Jason protested and escaped, and complained to the manager, who tried to minimize the encounter. Jason asked for an apology, and instead, the manager offered him another massage and said that if Jason was unhappy, he could file a police report. Subsequently, Jason filed a report with the police.

Unfortunately, he did not realize that the particular police officers he turned to had a "protection" racket going on with the massage business and this massage spa in particular. They turned the tables on Jason and accused HIM of harassing and threatening the spa manager. As a result, Jason was forcefully arrested, physically and sexually abused, and thrown behind bars, where the abuse continued. This started a nightmare that has only been getting worse.

While the original case (which was threatening Jason with 2 years of jail) has been thrown out after many months of monthly court proceedings due to lack of evidence, the police has turned around and filed a new case with an even more severe accusation that threatens Jason with 10 years of jail.

Jason has sold his possessions, including his car, and spent everything he had on the first case, which had required him to spend time in court on a monthly basis. He has now found a new legal defense team, one he has faith in. However, it is expensive, and he needs help with raising the funds to ensure his successful defense and outcome.
