Daddy’s EGFR came back negative, which means the cancer has not spread yet to other parts of his body. His doctor recommended proceeding with the chemotherapy and immunotherapy, while running additional tests (ALK, PDL1). The treatment plan will then be modified according to the results of the other tests. The oncologist also advised to complete the metastatic work up, preferably PET scan.
We again wish to send our deepest gratitude to those who donated to this campaign and continue to pray with us to save Daddy’s life. Your support has kept our family strong amidst this difficult time.
Finally, daddy is home from the hospital. Yay! But we almost rushed him back this morning due to difficulty in breathing. :( He couldn’t sleep last night because of phlegm. Still, a change in environment might be good for daddy. He’s due again for a series of tests—liver, blood, etc. Truth be told, Daddy has lost a lot of weight. He is also feeling weak. We humbly ask for your prayers, dear friends and family, for daddy to be stronger so we can proceed with treatment. Let’s keep sharing the campaign. Thank you from The Guiraos!
Daddy O is still being worked up for his first chemotherapy session; we’re waiting for results of his laboratory tests. God willing we will be able to go home tomorrow and just come back to the hospital for his treatment. Spirits are high today; he even asked for his favorite pancit. Please keep sharing our gofundme page. Daddy O needs all our help. Thank you, thank you from all of us.
PS That’s mama and daddy HHWH (holding hands while in the hospital)
