Campaign Story
Feeding the stomach and soul of farmers in the Great Karoo.
The Great Karoo has been ravaged by a severe drought since mid 2014 until present. This has had an enormous impact on the emotional and physical wellbeing of the WHOLE community.
Together with the drought, this community has also been struggling with high levels of unemployment and crime.
I am the the local pastor of a congregation in Laingsburg and have a burning passion for helping souls in need.
Through Karoo Aquaponics I will accomplish the following:
(1) Empower others to farm successfully in a water scarce area.
(2) Produce organic fish and vegetables, ready for the market in Cape Town.
(3) Build the relationships of the community through having a shared goal.
(4) Feeding the poor and vulnerable.
