One of those 1000 homes belongs to Missah, who works as a foreign domestic helper in Malaysia. She has been with us for the past 3 years and has worked in Malaysia for the past 20. Those years of hard work had been devoted to her family back in Lombok, Indonesia and into building a house – which was sadly destroyed by the earthquake. She had furnished her house and even bought herself a fridge and a TV when she went back home for Ramadan in May this year.

This picture was taken sometime around May.

The pictures below are what we have received today, six days after the earthquake hit.

Thankfully, her parents, siblings, children and grandkids are safe and have moved to an area about 2 hours away. Some of her extended relatives are staying put.

Missah is relentlessly hard working, always on-the-go, and never without a smile on her face. The money raised would go towards getting her family the supplies they need to get back on their feet and hopefully a new roof over their heads.
