Help Pao Get a New Kid!

Hello friends!

Most of you know that I have been diagnosed with Immuno Globulin A Nephropathy (IgAN) since 2012 which has led to End-Stage Renal Failure in 2017. Since my kidneys have failed, I have had to go for dialysis - first I tried peritoneal dialysis for a year, and that didn't work, so I switched to hemodialysis earlier this March.

I have been in the process of getting a live donor kidney transplant from my mom since last year, and the costs have been quite hefty due to all the screening tests required for both the donor and the recipient. While we've been able to cover much of the cost, I am currently facing a financial stumbling block to get my mom's MRI and Fibroscan done to clear her for becoming a donor. According to my SGH transplant coordinator, the MRI can cost up to SGD$4350 and the Fibroscan can cost up to SGD$750. These are not covered by insurance because its considered as an elective surgery for my mom and my father's CPF cannot cover it because it's considered as an outpatient and elective test.

Most of you also know that since 2016, I have been the primary breadwinner of my family - and I have huge family of four younger siblings and two parents to support. I / we have been financially tight and the cost of these tests is hindering my transplant workup process. I am hoping to get the transplant done by September as my condition has been also affecting my work - the job that I love.

I am humbly appealing for help from you, my friends. Any donation, no matter how humble, would be greatly appreciated to help me overcome this financial stumbling block.
