UPDATE:

Ayesha is now on dialysis which started August 1st. She now needs Kidney transplant to keep her surviving.

ayesha is a 12 yrs old patient having a Nephrotic Syndrome. Her condition is the steroid resistant kind. Nephrotic syndrome is a collection of symptoms due to kidney damage. This includes protein in the urine, low blood albumin levels, high blood lipids, and significant swelling. Other symptoms may include weight gain, feeling tired, and foamy urine. She has Glomerulosclerosis, also known as glomerular sclerosis, is hardening of the glomeruli in the kidney. It is a general term to describe scarring of the kidneys' tiny blood vessels, the glomeruli, the functional units in the kidney that filter urine from the blood. She needs prompt treatment to avoid ERSD End-stage renal disease, also called end-stage kidney disease, occurs when chronic kidney disease — the gradual loss of kidney function — reaches an advanced state. In end-stage renal disease, kidneys are no longer able to work as they should to meet her body's needs. With end-stage renal disease, she need dialysis or a kidney transplant to stay alive. She is blood type B+ and we desperately need an organ donor. Her doctor advised for the following treatments this July:

Plasmapheresis is a process that filters the blood and removes harmful antibodies. It is a procedure done similarly to dialysis; however, it specifically removes antibodies from the plasma portion of the blood. 3-5 sessions costs ₱ 50,000/ session.

Retuximab Infusion - Rituximab has shown best treatment outcomes in patients with steroid-resistant Nephrotic Syndrome, particularly those with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and young patients who suffer with recurrent FSGS. 4 Dosages needed costs ₱ 80,000 / each.

For Donations we do accept BDO Deposits though her grandmother’s account who is with her:
