DEAR FAMILY AND FRIENDS OUR MARC IS IN SERIOUS TROUBLE AND NEEDS URGENTLY OUR HELP

to pay overstay fees and go back to France safe

Due to unexpected twist of fate Marc could not renew his tourist visa when it expired, the French Embassy at the time they only offered him the use of internet and phone facility to call his family but since he had no contact with them since many years, his relatives are not available to help him in any ways. This situation put him on a rollercoaster of ups and downs with depressions until April 2017 when he was hospitalized following a two weeks seizure and an attempt of suicide, he was on heavy doses of Risperidone and other anti anxiety medication for bipolar disorder for four months. When he suddenly decided to stop medications due to the heavy side effects he suffered again a manic episode which lasted 2 months followed by depression and two more attempts of suicide. Unfortunately mental illness takes long time to be treated and to stabilize. Now Marc is feeling better, he has been healing without the aid of medicines.

Now Marc is in contact with the kind French Ambassador in Kathmandu, Nepal who is dealing with Nepali authorities on his behalf, they will issue an emergency passport to deport him back to france as soon as possible - once back in his native country hopefully he will get the medical support that he needs to start his life properly again.

Nepali authorities are charging him a fee for everyday of overstay which amounts to $5 a day for one year plus discretionary fee for the total amount of Eur 3000.

He is now waiting for news about his situation. We will post here all the updates as we don't know yet if the authorities are gonna be even more strict or he might get lucky and obtain a discount if they are benevolent.

So I am asking your help as time is passing by fast and we need to sort out this situation as soon as possible.

Whatever contribution you are able to give from your heart is welcome as he relies solely on donations to cover the expenses of overstay fine, passport, flight to Paris and some money on arrival in France for food and the minimum necessary.

UPDATED BREAKDOWN OF EXPENSES:

- overstay fee was Eur 3000 We obtained reduction €2130 ($2500

- flight Kathmandu to Paris Eur 300

- passport fees Eur 55

we will post here news from French Embassy and Nepali Government as soon as we receive them. Once the Nepali government authorize the leave of Marc he will need to be ready to immediately pay the fees and book the flight to be deported.
