My name is Doris Maey, a resident of Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro. My formative years and education took place in this Island, and today, hundreds of young minds are on the same path. Supporting these children in their education is of paramount importance and most likely, will have a lasting impact on which they will be in the future.

Unfortunately, many children do not enjoy this basic right. And even if they are allowed at first, with our public school system, a significant number of them are unable to sustain the cost of education. I came up with this idea because it is our moral obligation to do our share in nation building. Helping these school children is how we do that part. That is why I am organizing an outreach program at Pagtorian Elementary School. This institute consists of ~150 students who are from the Iraya community sub tribe of the Mangyan. As part of this program, my aim is to mobilize fund so that together, we can contribute to this undertaking. Credit shall not belong to me, but to the selfless patrons who will help make this a reality. The outreach will be in need of school supplies and educational materials. Rest assured that any help from you would be much appreciated and also credited, as it is your due. I will utilize the raised money for materials such as pencils, papers, notebooks and other basic school supplies.

These are some of the students I met March 2016 when me and my sister did a feeding program. This time, I want to address their need for a decent school supplies for better education. I hope you can help me succeed.

The project is scheduled to be done on 7 September 2018. I will be purchasing and preparing packages of school supplies to provide to the students.

Attached is the itemization of estimated cost of each package. For ~$10, each student will receive 1 backpack, 4 notebooks, 10 pencils, 5 writing pads, and 3 plain T-shirt as school uniform.

Thank you and bless your generous heart!
