Name: Rish Xian Rhyker Maniego
Bday and age: 10-22-2017 / 6mos
Diagnosis: hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy secondary to aspiration pneumonia.

Xian is subject for tracheostomy anytime next week due to prolonged intubation. best option so far to save him from associated pneumonia and other possible infections, but plan changed when he suddenly had a high fever (39.5) last May 13, 2018 up to now (37.6-38). Tons of tests were done to figure out where that fever came from. Although we are well informed that infection is just around the corner, we hardly pray that he survive whatever comes his way.

EEg result was quiet good compare to the previous results but my heart dropped when the Dr discussed about Xian's ct scan. It shows that his brain produced fluids because of brain shrinkage. Xian was referred to a pediatric surgeon to remove / extract fluids on his brain. And immediately scheduled for Percutaneous Subdural Tap. And i was there on the bed side during the procedure. To show my love and support for my little warrior. The fluids extracted from his brain was sent to the laboratory for series of tests. And God is good, there were no trace of infection. Prior to that Doctors already gave antibiotics.

2 months of seeing him lying on the same bed inside pedia icu and breathing with the help of mechanical ventilator. 2months of seeing his face with no smile, no reaction. 2months of not hearing his voice, his cry, his laugh. 2month of endless antibiotics, laboratories, blood extraction. 2months of too much of everything for your tiny little body. 2months of ups and downs. Yes , i must admit most of the time mommy cant handle seeing you like that. But you're so brave. You are fighting everyday. Your effort and eagerness is enough BabyBoss to make me smile.

Just like what i've posted before, doctors explained that its going to be a long way for Xian. And the expected expenses to him to keep in the hospital is around 20-30k for the room in picu, medications plus the unexpected laboratories will range 6000 pesos - 12k a day.

It pains me to say that we have no resources left to give my baby a fighting chance. Being powerless to help my 6month old baby fighting for his life is a very humbling experience for me. I appeal to your kindness and ask for support and prayers in this extreme circumstance. I will be grateful to all for any kind of financial support that can be gathered for my sons recovery.
